Dr Katja May is an independent researcher, a quilter and feminist activist. She has a PhD in English and Cultural Studies from the University of Kent, UK. Her research interests include textile crafts, feminist activism, affect, social transformation and creative methods. Katja has been a quilting tutor and facilitated multiple feminist craftivism events.


Katja is available for talks, workshops, collaborations, consultancy and writing commissions on all areas of her expertise, especially textile crafts and feminist activism; affect and making; whiteness in the context of textile crafts.
